Air Mikisew Limited
Based in Fort McMurray
and operating under the name of Mikisew Air, this consistent and solid performer
has established an excellent reputation for providing a full range of quality
aviation services. With a fleet of a dozen aircraft and well equipped hangar
facilities, Air Mikisew has established itself as the premiere air service
for the Fort McMurray/Fort Chipewyan region.
Air Mikisew offers the following services:
Custom Charters for business or pleasure. Air Mikisew also has floatplanes
for fly in fishing charters.
Economical and dependable cargo, shipping and courier delivery is provided
primarily to the community of Fort Chipewyan and to anyone who may require
these services.
On contract with the government of Alberta, Medivac services are provided
for northeastern Alberta. A specially equipped King Air 100 is on permanent
24-hour call to provide emergency medical air transportation.
Air Mikisew has facilities and qualified staff to provide the aircraft
maintenance service needs of its customers whether it is a major engine
overhaul or minor repairs and servicing.
A distributor and affiliate of Esso, Air Mikisew provides a full range
of aviation fuel and aviation petroleum products for the Fort McMurray
Airport and regional aircraft enthusiasts.
Air Mikisew provides full time scheduled air service to Fort Chipewyan
from late spring to early fall and part time scheduled air service during
the winter. The schedule enables the traveler from Fort Chipewyan to book
onto other air carriers in Fort McMurray to other destinations.
