Human Resources

It is the stated policy of Mikisew Cree First Nation to encourage the development of the Nation by encouraging employment for Mikisew members.

Where possible, Mikisew members will enjoy a priority in all hiring.  We encourage our members to complete grade 12, and we work with our members to build their capacity once they are hired.

Mikisew Cree First Nation believes in treating employees with respect and dignity and is committed to providing fair and equitable terms and conditions of employment.

Mikisew Cree First Nation is concerned with ensuring a high level of service to its membership and clients in all aspects of its operation.  As an organization MCFN ensures this goal through the support of trained, competent, and motivated employees.  As such it provides for consistent and intelligent responses to personnel matters, congruent decision-making and judgments in employee issues, and finally, effective and professional development in the workplace.

Through standardized procedures, the smooth functioning of Human Resources and the workplace is enhanced.
