Governance Workshop for Chief and Council - October 14 and 15, 2011
The Chief and Council will be participating in a 2 day Governance Workshop on October 14 and 15, 2011 to be held in Fort Chipewyan. The two day session will be facilitated by Robert Breaker of Breaker Consulting.
Effective leadership is vital to successful nation building and creating positive change in our First Nation. This Governance session will provide the Chief and Council with a critical look at leadership roles and responsibilities, and how we can develop systems of goverance to assist in restoring our nation's culture, well being, and economic independence. In addition, this workshop is designed to empower Leadership to achieve effective governance, and consider the opportunities for moving our First Nation forward and beyond.
Strategic Planning Sessions with Membership
Chief and Council will be implementing a one day strategic planning session with membership in November, 2011 in the following locations and dates. The tentative schedule is as follows:
November 21: Fort Smith, N.T - 6 PM to 9 PM, Pelican Rapids Restaurant boardroom
November 22: High Level, AB - 6 PM to 9 PM, Stardust banquet room
November 24: Edmonton, AB - 5 PM to 9 PM, Chateau Nova banquet room
November 25: Fort McMurray, AB - 5 PM to 9 PM, Quality Inn & Conference Centre
November 28: Fort Chipewyan, AB - 6 PM to 9 PM, Mamawi Hall
