Financial Report

Mikisew Cree First Nation has a fiscal year ending on March 31 annually. The annual operating budget is prepared for Council and then is approved by the members each year.

On June 1, 2009 the membership passed the 2009/2010 operating budget. The main feature of this year’s budget is a projected surplus, despite the downturn in economic activity, due to prudent cost cutting by the Administration.

The annual financial audit for the year 2008/09 has been completed and the audited financial statements have been sent to INAC and other stakeholders.
